Winter Fellowship Recap
Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 @ 12:24PM
The 2015 Winter Fellowship started off rainy, wet, and cold on Friday evening as lodge members rolled into Camp Raven Knob. However, the weather prevailed as the weekend moved on.
Attendance was better that expected with just over 150 Arrowmen on hand to enjoy a weekend of fellowship, training, and service. In spite of the weather, work crews moved out on Saturday morning into the “liquid sunshine” and set about their assigned tasks: dismantling the hunters cabins, drainage work, projects at the aquatics area. You name it and cheerful service could be witnessed first hand around Raven Knob. Saturday morning’s rain gave way to sunshine and a calm evening as three Brotherhood candidates made their walk to the ceremony site: Charlie Andersen, Michael Parker, and Dylan Houck. Congratulations to these three brothers for sealing their membership in the lodge!
Saturday night’s cracker barrel was well attended and the lodge was the beneficiary of an always “spirited” patch auction to support the NOAC & High Adventure Scholarship fund that provides scholarships to youth attendees headed to NOAC 2015. Thanks to supporters, the lodge raised $488 for the scholarship fund.
If you missed this weekend, you missed a great time! Please remind fellow lodge members in your troop – there is still time to register for the upcoming 2015 SR-7B Cardinal Conclave (https://conclaveregistration.org/) and to make preparations for Spring Fellowship in May.
