November Financial Report
In November, the lodge received a $5,000 donation which will be transferred to the maintenance shelter account. Receipts were for the annual banquet attended by 250 people and for 38 people who attended the cook crew’s Sweetheart banquet. At the annual banquet 13 pipe passes were sold along with trading post merchandise. Expenses were for food and recognition items for the two banquets and the lodge’s rechartering of 1,098 members. The other items include the donation, payment to reserve 15 Summit Corp spots. There will be a transfer in December for COC, Conclave and Christmas tree items that should be charged to other accounts.
October Financial Report
October was a relatively quiet month for the lodge. Receipts were for dues, Annual Banquet tickets and sales of the remaining Ordeal and Fall Fellowship patches. Expenses were for banquet items, conclave promo t-shirts and workday patches, and copy, mailing and postage expense. The other items were transfers for items miscoded in September and NLS scholarships and collection of balance of NLS fees. The ornaments will be charged to the Christmas Tree Fund in November.
September Financial Report
September had almost 300 arrowmen attend Fall Fellowship, 73 at Feather Fest and 71 to induct the 20 Vigil candidates. Trading post sales were strong due to the great design of the 2010 event patches and $4,282 from the summer camp trading post. All event patches and both lodge and national 100th anniversary flaps have sold out. Food spending was for Ordeal 2, Vigil, Fellowship and $3,834 for dining hall supplies purchased at cost from summer camp. A deliver van was donated, for the cost of towing to camp, to store these supplies for future events. Trading Post purchases were for 144 sweatshirts, 120 Vigil T-shirts, 125 belt buckles, 200 Vigil and 500 Fellowship patches, 250 bumper sticks and 200 wristbands. A James E. West donation of $1,000 was made to the council endowment fund and $1,600 was used to fund 2-$200 NOAC and 8-$150 Training Scholarships. The lodge received credit for the CRK staff reunion and from Scout Graphics for incorrect Ordeal patches. The General fund is due $500 from the Josh Davis Memorial for ribbon shirts and $1,435 from Feather Fest for food and patches.
August Financial Report
August was a very successful month for Wahissa Lodge. Ordeals saw 243 new members inducted with over 250 current members in attendance. Trading post sales were great led by sales of 2010 event patches and National OA commemorative flaps. Discounted older merchandise sold well. Lodge Officer spending was primarily for mailings sent in August. Other expenses were low due to timing; Ordeal sashes, handbooks, lodge flaps, event patches, beads and necklaces were all purchased earlier in the year while many food invoices won’t be processed until September. The council will correct the misbilled items in September.
